The cost of renting a good-quality 125cc motorbike in Chiang Mai with insurance – 200-300 Baht (6-9 USD) per day. Also, the price depends on the renting period. For example, if you rent a motorbike for 1 day, the daily rate will always be higher than if you rent for 1 month. The motorcycle is a high-risk vehicle, and your family members expect you to come home safe and sound. So, if you can’t ride a motorbike, you better use Grab-Taxi or a Taxi-Meter. Possibly, it would save your life, even if you are now reading these lines and think, “How dare they teach me what to do?!”
If you have come to Chiang Mai for a long time, but you have never ridden a motorbike and you want to learn, you should read the section Training.
