Few Minutes From the Airport

RTC Chiang Mai City Bus from Chiang Mai International Airport to Cat Motors costs only 20 baht. The nearest bus station is called Wattanothai Payap School (thai – โรงเรียนวัฒโนทัยพายัพ, rohng rian wát noh tai paa-yáp). This is the 4th bus stop from the airport on the R3 (red) bus route. Sometimes the driver can drive past the stop, so be sure to ask him to stop there.

Do not confuse bus routes R3 (red) and R3 (yellow). They go to different directions. If you make a mistake, then your stop will be the 5th in a row and will be called the “Krung Thai Bank” (thai – ธนาคารกรุงไทย, tá-naa-kaan grung tai). From this stop you must to walk about 10-15 minutes to Cat Motors. If you do not want to walk 10-15 minutes, then you need to go around the Night Bazaar and Old Town and wait for the 39th stop called “Northern School for the Blind” (thai – โรงเรียนสอนคนตาบอดภาคเหนือ, rohng rian sŏn kon dtaa bòt pâak nĕua).If you click on the bus map, it will open full size in new tab.
